In January 2008 I went on a solo trip around the US of A (and Canada) for 3 months, visiting Providence [Rhode Island], Boston, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo (a little beach town midway between LA and SF), Seattle and finally Whistler in Canada (to go snowboarding).

I’d say it was, to date, the most amazing experience of my life. It was terrifying and exciting and thrilling and confusing all at the same time. I think I changed so much while I was travelling, and grew in confidence massively, in a way that I think is only understandable if you’ve had a similar experience.
