This has been our last full week in New Zealand…we fly to Fiji on Friday (eek, so excited!). It’s been an awesome week, full of fun and nature and wildlife…we’ve seen seals and penguins, and even these big boulders in the middle of the beach!
This week my dad flew all the way from London to Queenstown to visit me. After exactly 5 months since I left home, it is absolutely brilliant to see him and spend time doing fun father-daughter things. Best. Dad. Ever.
We got to the ferry port just on time to check in at 7:20 and were soon on our way, and three hours (and a bit of sea-sickness) later, we arrived on the South Island ready for a new adventure. This week we made it to the South Island, and the other day Rachel and I did something I’ve always wanted to do, climb Franz Josef Glacier, down on the south west coast. And it was amazing…we went right up onto the glacier itself, walking all over the ice, with crampons and everything! So cool.
