So it is the day we’ve all been working towards for the last few weeks. Staff training is over and the kids arrive today! This is a picture of the entire summer staff whom I will be working alongside for the next 2 months. And it is going to be EPIC!
This week we made it to San Diego and, having not done anything particularly touristy for a while, we decided to head to the Zoo, one of the largest in California, known for its collection of animals from all over the world. We had an awesome time wandering around and marvelling at the Gorillas, Hippos … More Photo Of The Week: We’re Going To The Zoo, Zoo, Zoo
This week we hit up San Francisco and at the end of the week we got the bus up to Santa Rosa to see our friend Shell (she’s living and working here) from camp. It was so awesome to be back together, and we spent two days just chatting and being excited about getting back … More Photo Of The Week: Together Again
Just two days ago we boarded a plane from Auckland to beautiful Fiji (yes, still beautiful even though it’s been raining pretty consistently), where we boarded our Feejee Experience bus and began the trip of a lifetime. So far we’ve been to a couple of beaches, done some sand boarding, stayed at a few lush … More Photo Of The Week: Hello Fiji!
This week my dad flew all the way from London to Queenstown to visit me. After exactly 5 months since I left home, it is absolutely brilliant to see him and spend time doing fun father-daughter things. Best. Dad. Ever.
Yesterday I fulfilled a dream that I’ve had for quite some time now…to learn to scuba dive. Okay, so I’m not qualified or anything, but this was my first taster session and I loved it…PADI course anyone?
This week our friend Rochelle, who we know from camp, came to visit us. She’d been staying in Melbourne for the last couple of months and we thought it was about time we all caught up. We’ve had an awesome few days together so far, chilling out and reminiscing about fun camp times and all … More Photo Of The Week: Friends Reunited
This week we went on a sailing trip around the Whitsundays. It was the most incredible experience, maybe the best thing we’ve done so far in OZ (bold statement, I know!). This is me, loving life, on Whitehaven Beach, one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been!
This week we headed to Noosa for a break from cities and beaches…when I say we went to Noosa I really mean we went to stay in the bush, far away from civilisation for three days of camping and canoeing in the Everglades. Bliss.
Sydney for New Years Eve…everyone’s dream right? There’s definitely a reason for this…best. fireworks. ever! It was an awesome night, with friends old and new…I couldn’t have asked for a better way to welcome 2012!
