This week has been full of firsts. First time living on a farm, first time feeding all the animals, first time milking a goat, first time opening the shop, and the list goes on. I’ve already learnt so much about farm life and it’s been a fantastic start to our 3 month stay at Honeycomb Valley – I’m really excited for what the next few months are going to bring. As well as living and working on the farm though, we’ve also been introduced to an amazing guy who owns a vineyard up the road. He gives us free wine and cheese and we do a couple of hours grape picking for him in return. So that’s how I found myself on a misty vineyard at 6am yesterday morning, picking grapes off the vine ready to be turned into some delicious wine!
