With only 1 week until camp ends and we leave this place we’ve come to call home for the last few months, there’s quite a lot of madness in the air. Everyone is excitable and hyper, but also a little bit sad that it’s all coming to an end. A few people have left already, which really makes it hit home that the rest of us too will be departing in just a matter of days and going onto wherever the roads takes us next – for some it’s back to uni, or onto new jobs, while for others of us it’s off around the world for a few months (and yes, I’ve been recruiting numerous people on my RTW Trip).
It’s hard to believe we’re into the last week…how did this happen? – it feels like yesterday that I arrived here, jet lagged and a little bit nervous, unsure of how the summer was going to turn out. And I can honestly say it’s been one of the best, if not THE best summer of my life. It’s been hard work and quite stressful at times, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I pretty much landed my dream job here at camp…taking photos, making movies, teaching media and hanging out with some of the best kids in the world. Who could ask for anything more?
Not only that, but I feel that I’ve made some incredible friends for life, and in such a short space of time too…only 8 weeks. But in this environment, in our ‘camp bubble’, you can’t help but get really close to people really fast. I’m so grateful to all of these people for making my summer one of the all time greats.

I really feel like I’ve found my place in the world and I for one cannot wait to come back next summer!
