There’s not a lot to tell about this month really, other than that I’ve been having an epic and wonderful time at the farm (which also means I really haven’t spent that much money apart from a few random splurges on things I’ve wanted for ages). So I’ll just quickly get down to the nitty-gritty of my monthly spending…
Distance Travelled:
Nabiac to Forster and back – 29 miles
Total = 29 miles
Countries: Australia
Cities/Towns: Nabiac, Forster.
Transport Used: Car.
Money Spent (in GBP): £110.62 over 30 days = £3.69 per day!
Amazing. Cheapest month yet! And probably the cheapest month I’ll have in a very long while – May is going to see me head back to Sydney for a few weeks before an epic 2 days in San Francisco and New York on our way back to Camp for the summer (where somehow my monthly spending is always quite high, even though I don’t actually have to pay for anything!)
Breakdown of my spending (in AU$):
Vacation: $105.02
Wardrobe: $42
Groceries: $39.02 (this is obviously all candy!)
General (random things): $13.87
Misc (gifts etc): $1.15
Total: $201.06
Biggest Expense/Unforeseen Splurges: This has to be my ticket to the TBEX (Travel Blog Exchange) conference in Athens in October (under ‘vacation’ above)…I’ve never been but always wanted to go and just randomly saw a tweet a couple of hours before the early bird sale finished, so of course I jumped at one of the last cheap tickets! Now all I need are flights to Athens and a travel conference buddy!
Thank you for reminding me! I was meaning this month to start recording my expenses and because I read yours I started again =P
Haha glad I could help!
WOAH! Very well done! I’m impressed!
Thanks! It helps that I don’t currently have to pay for food or accommodation!
This is the first month I’m trying to track all my money…. Its tough but its also making me cut down a lot too. you seem like your doing pretty good for being in Australia
Yeah it’s going pretty well yeah, it helps that I’m currently not paying for food or rent! Good luck with your budgeting!
