For the last couple of day’s I’ve been stranded on an island…Fraser Island that is. I went on a guided self-drive tour for three days and two nights and it was absolutely epic! I met some awesome people, and saw some incredible things…who could ask for a better week?
We didn’t actually have a choice about staying at Palace, as it was where our Fraser Island tour was run from, so we got the nights before and after our trip included. However, it does also run as a standalone hostel and in my opinion it’s a pretty good one. Okay so it’s not the … More Hostel Review: Palace Backpackers, Hervey Bay
After our relaxing few days in Rainbow Beach, we were more than ready for a bit of adventure on Fraser Island! We got the bus mid-afternoon and arrived in Hervey Bay a couple of hours later, having already met a couple of girls on the bus who would be doing our Fraser tour with us. … More Revving It On Fraser Island

After our not so great experience at the Base hostel in Sydney, you’d probably think that we wouldn’t have stayed at another Base. Well, you’d be right…except that we’d been given vouchers from Wicked travel for Base Central in Brisbane which meant that we’d only have to pay $18 per night…an offer we couldn’t really … More Hostel Review: Base Central, Brisbane
Our last few days in Surfers Paradise were much of the same. The rain didn’t let up until Thursday, which just happened to be Australia Day, so we headed to the beach to meet Eugene and Lucas, our friends from Byron Bay. It was a sweet afternoon, just spent chilling with friends in the (tiny … More Crazy/Lazy Days In Brisbane
